Called, Not Coddled: Living for Truth, Not Likes

“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
— Galatians 1:10 (NIV)

Let’s be honest — it feels good to be liked. To be celebrated, complimented, followed, reposted, invited. We’re human, and there’s something comforting about fitting in, about being “approved.”

But God didn’t call us to be well-liked.

He called us to be set apart.

We weren’t saved to sit quietly in the background, nodding along with the world to avoid confrontation. We were commissioned — sent — to speak truth in love, even when that truth makes people uncomfortable.

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.” — John 15:18

This isn’t a popularity contest. It’s a purpose walk.

And here’s the reality: if we’re living the Gospel fully, radically, and unashamedly, we will be misunderstood. We will be rejected. Jesus was — and He was perfect. So what makes us think we’ll go untouched by the sting of being different?

We weren’t promised applause. We were promised presence.

We weren’t called to be liked — we were called to go.

Go into the world. Go into uncomfortable places. Go into broken spaces.

Not with a filtered version of faith, but with the full truth of His word.

So sis, if you’ve ever felt out of place, misunderstood, or even mocked for your convictions — you’re not failing. You’re fulfilling.

You don’t need the world’s approval to walk in Heaven’s calling.

Stand firm. Stay faithful. Speak boldly. Love deeply.

Because obedience is greater than applause.

And the ones who truly follow Him? They were never called to blend in. They were called to light it up.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” — Matthew 28:19

Let’s go.

Love,

C
