Faith Is Not A Finish Line

Charley AKA the friendly menace to morning routines!

All jokes aside I was in full mom mode this morning, and absolutely nothing went my way. The dogs wouldn’t come inside and I had to chase my golden retriever Charley around the house.

The kids were so tired and in slow motion which is fine I know it’s early and I had to give Grace here, but it puts us behind schedule. I try to remember that God is always in control. When it’s not his timing it won’t happen, and when it is there is no stopping it.

I had forgotten about my coffee and it was cold. Which do any moms these days get to enjoy hot coffee in the mornings? Seriously I want to know comment below. Then on the highway I get behind a lady taking selfies driving down 321 which is like why? Why would you do that. It’s super dangerous and traffic is busy this time of day. Literally why are you on the road taking selfies?

I take a sip of my coffee and then I spilled it on myself going while driving. Younger Corey would have been so mad. In fact she would have been furious. However, I LAUGHED so hard.

I know that even though I try to do everything the right way, make plans, prepare everything the night before, and make everything as “perfect” as possible. That in my own timing and plans doesn’t mean anything if it is not in Gods plan.

That even though it didn’t go my way this morning.. God made sure I woke up today! He is the reason we have clothes on our back, a full pantry, and more importantly breath in our lungs. That my children are blessed enough to have two present parents that love them. That they know who Jesus is.

I laughed because even in the chaos I have JOY. I have joy because he is still working around me. Faith isn’t a finish line or a check list that’s completed. It’s continuous in believing that God is good, and you have to see everything with spiritual eyes to believe it. Moms that are “surviving” the mornings just know that I prayed that you thrive this week.

Stay Savvy!

I prayed for you,

Corey
